AFLV 2015

Well I just got back from another whirlwind AFLV. Two years in a row that I have only been able to go for one day, which means I drive in and out, and do as many workshops as possible! This year I did three programs and had a great time catching up with friends at the conference.

AFLV 2015My first program was MGC Recruitment, yeah I need a more catchy title… but it is a simple nuts and bolts program. I love to present this because I get to really help make a difference. I have over 15 years of experience now doing Greek Reruitment, and I have combined all I learned from my time as an IFC President in college, to being a Panhellenic Advisor for years, and of course being in an culturally based fraternity. I love this program, and 15 minutes before my session started… it was already packed! I hope the students who came are able to find funding so I can visit campuses and help more.

This year Michelle Guobadia and I did our Handsigns and Stepping program again. I think this was the 10th time we did it! We packed the room, about 100 people and it was great. Lots of fun tweets and hard hitting questions that will hopefully move more campuses towards increased Greek Unity.

AFLV 2015 2My final program, and the last Ed Block of the day I did a modified version of my “Your Legacy” program. I made it quick and short since it was late, and we hit lots of topics, got some good questions and again got good reviews on my eval forms. What I love most about sessions are the great talks with students and staff about the program.

It was nice to see some old friends, especially some of my fraternity Brothers and AFA friends who I wish I saw more often. I love AFLV as it helps kick off the year and I am excited for all the programs and travel coming this year.
